Service Advisor - Denis Mahony Motor Group


Job Title: Service Advisor
Reports to: Aftersales Manager  
Location: Denis Mahony Toyota, Exit 5 M50, North Road, Dublin, Ireland
Date: October 2023

Job Purpose.

The ideal candidates will be experienced in all aspects of customer service and be capable of producing high-quality work in a busy environment. Experience in the motor trade would be an advantage but is not a requirement.


Responsibilities will include.

  • Dealing with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Act as the first point of contact with all service customers either in person or by telephone/email, seeking to convert customer enquiries, when appropriate, to service bookings.
  • Promote the sales of appropriate services, parts, and accessories by thoroughly understanding the vehicle and associated service requirements.
  • Assist in the day-to-day administration and management of our busy Service Department.
  • Appointment bookings, Job scheduling and liaising with our customers and internal departments.
  • Preparation of Repair Estimates, final invoicing and processing and settlement of warranty claims.
  • Maintain product and technical knowledge across our full range of Toyota and Lexus models.
  • Job status monitoring and customer communication.
  • Work with our After-sales teams to ensure agreed targets and deadlines are met.

Requirements

  • Be efficient, exhibit excellent communication skills, have good organisational skills and produce high-quality work consistently.
  • Capacity to be a team player to ensure smooth running between departments.
  • Strong IT skills would be an advantage.
  • Excellent customer service skills, professional appearance, and a strong work ethic are required & also must be capable of being able to go beyond our customers’ expectations.
  • A full clean driving licence is required.
  • Ability to work well in a process-driven environment.
  • Motor industry experience is desirable.
  • Strong IT and administration skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
